  49.      PS Express (PSE) is the RAM-resident (TSR) version of PS.  That
  50.      means you run it once, and it waits in memory for you to call it up
  51.      when you need help most - while you're actually writing.  Here's how:
  52.       * Run your word processor and start writing. Need Help? Press Alt-Space.
  53.       * PSE comes to life.  Highlight the text you want PSE to examine, and,
  54.         before you can blink, a window pops up with comments about your
  55.         writing, and a summary of your words and sentences.

  57.      PSE is amazing, immensely helpful - like having an English teacher
  58.      looking over your shoulder, gently coaching you as you write.
  59.      See something you want to fix?  Edit it, then call PSE up again to
  60.      see the improvements.

  62.      PSE may eliminate those long, frustrating write/edit/re-write cycles --

  67.      PS now scans your writing for the kinds of writing mistakes we all
  68.      make, the traps we fall into, at least once in awhile.  We call
  69.      these traps Word Wasters - words or phrases that are wordy,
  70.      confusing, often misused, or just plain unnecessary.  There are 5

  75.      PS' Word Waster feature helps you eradicate the jargon and 'excess
  76.      baggage' from your writing.  And you can customize this feature:
  77.       * Include your own 'pets' - jargon or phrases you want to avoid.
  78.       * Edit other peoples' work?  Add the jargon they use/mistakes they make.
  79.         Then give them a copy of PS' results with your comments.  Better yet,
  80.         ask THEM to run their work through PS BEFORE giving it to you.

  82.      RUNNING GRADE LEVEL - GRAPHIC AND PATTERN SUMMARIES, MUCH EASIER EDITING

  84.      PS' Running Grade Level (RGL) option shows the complexity of your
  85.      writing line-by-line.  Earlier PS versions printed the RGL beside
  86.      your text. This remains, but we added TWO graphics showing you: 1)
  87.      On ONE screen, RGLs for 100s of lines of text; and, 2) Your sentence
  88.      patterns against an ideal. And version 3.5 adds an option flag
  89.      Complex Words & Word Wasters in EACH LINE.  This makes editing your
  90.      writing MUCH easier.

  94.      PS flags the long, complex words you use.  But some long words are
  95.      easily understood by most people (eg., 'sometimes').  PS shouldn't
  96.      nag you about these; now it doesn't have to.  The Frequent.Wrd file
  97.      has words PS won't list as complex, nor will it flag these in RGL
  98.      reports.  You can cus- tomize Frequent.Wrd:  add long words you
  99.      think your audience understands.

  103.      PS 3.x + is MUCH faster than earlier versions.  Here's a comparison:
